Millennium Insurance is proud to be granted Chartered Insurance Broker status by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

To support leading firms in the general insurance broking sector, and to recognise adherence to the highest standards of professional practice, the CII has agreed that firms meeting certain business standards are able to call themselves ‘Chartered Insurance Brokers’.

Corporate Chartered status is of major significance. It will reinforce the importance of professionalism in a fast-moving and competitive market. It will also help place broking firms on a par with other professional practices, such as accountants and solicitors.

Chartered status is well established as a trusted symbol of professionalism. It will carry weight with other professional organisations and distinguish quality broking firms from their competitors and peers.

Corporate Chartered status is sure to have resonance with the Regulator, signposting professional achievement and commitment to high standards of practice.

What do you need to obtain Chartered Insurance Broker status ?

• At least one Director/Partner must personally hold the CII Chartered Insurance Broker title.
• One of the firm’s Executive Directors or Partners (who, as an individual, holds the Chartered Insurance Broker title), must take on the role of “Responsible Member” and is responsible for ensuring the firm continues to meet the highest possible standards and renew the Chartered Broker status each year with suitable evidence.
• A minimum of 90% of customer-facing staff (defined as anyone having ‘customer contact’) must be members of the CII.

In fact 90% of customer facing staff at Millennium have, or are in the process of studying for professional insurance qualifications, showing evidence and commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards.

This means fellow professional mortgage firms and intermediaries can have every confidence when recommending Millennium Household and PPI products, or when introducing your clients to Millennium for their insurance protection solutions.
